Hey I just sold my 12 second 1988 notch mustang in need of something more practical. So i bought a 2008 wolfsburg edition jetta. I dont really keep anything stock, its a quick little car. Was wondering what i can do to this car, what type of numbers does it put out. 0-60..1/4 mile..hp...etc. Anything you guys can let me know about this car... thanks!

I don't know too much about the new generation VW's, but I've seen a couple beefed up MK4 TDI's that were pretty badass. TDI's come stock with quite a bit of torque already so really all you gotta do it get those HP's up.

The 08 wolfsburg should have 200 horsepower, 207 lb-ft 2.0 TSFI engine as standard. What color you get? From what I could find it looks like stock its running a 17s quarter mile with a top speed of 83mph. And 0-60 is 6.9sec. Not sure how correct those last two are but they sound about right.

hmm 6.9 0-60 time would be more of a 15.2...15.3 car no?...17s is more of a 9.7-10.0 0-60 time....just going by the numbers... and 200hp is not a bad starting point.....what type of modification if any do these cars respond to well

if those numbers seem off i apologize. I have a 02 1.8T just looked those up real quick online. Im not sure if the new ones are different than the mk4's. If they are chip is a big thing.I would look it up though see if people have told of big gains.

I put a boost guage in mine and its pushing 10 psi which is nice for stock. My 08 Wolfsburg came with the TSI engine and i love it. Better and bigger Intercooler, a SRI and new piping and exhaust are on my list of upgrades...

look on your engine cover it should say TSI. I thought the 08 WBE came standard with the tsi but if you have the tsfi then maybe not. Is yours standard or auto? Mines a 6 speed standard.

Not all 08s have the TSI, I have a FSI in my Wolf. They run mid to low 15's stock. I have just an intake on it now and it helped out the throttle response and sounds good to. Next on the list is Down pipe and chip(doing at the same time). That should boost me to 255-270whp. I wouldn't change out the intercooler yet until you start pushing more horsepower. Its addicting modding cars

hha thank you....but yeah... i know all about the modding..... my old car.. was nothing but a new part every other week........
and whats the biggest difference between fsi and tsi?

yea but its a 4 speed aint in? So is it a tsfi or tsi? Im curious if they put diffrent engines in the two.

hey dude i have a wolfsburg too its, fsi, my is tiptronic and im think about SRI and a Forge dv spacer.. what do u think? i want that wooosh sound from the turbo... what kind of intake do have?
